Strange Behaviour from Staff

Liked: This the 12th time I used this hotel. The location is great and it is good value.
Disliked: When I arrived to check in there were three Indian?? but certainly South Asians having what sounded like an argument. I had to break into the conversation to get checked in. I was just waved away with a key card and vaguely pointing to the wrong staircase. When I returned to clear up the misdirection, the youngest insisted he had to photograph my passport, which I of course refused. Very suspicious behaviour. I did not feel comfortable all night and left at 6 am in the morning. This used to be be my "go to" place. I am now reconsidering. Incidentally none of them spoke adequate French or English!!!

Liked: Close to the train station, and the atmosphere was cozy enough.
Disliked: It's fine if you don't expect too much. It was probably the most unclean hotel room I ever had. Most of fabrics, including bed sheets and cushions, have stains. But the bathroom was relatively clean. I'm not a clean freak and considering the price compared to other hotels, it was within the acceptable range and fine for me.

Liked: Thought the place was quite nice. Lots of space in the room. Had a super late check in and they were very flexible which was great
Disliked: The bathroom was quite small and there was no listed wifi password in the room

A cosy, low-cost hotel will...

Liked: The hotel was exactly what I was looking for and met all my expectations. At the price, don’t expect luxury, but the staff warmly welcomed me at a late check-in time and the room was comfortable and clean. The walls are thin, but expecting this I had ear plugs so was not a problem. The bathroom was old but clean and large and well lit. I like this location in Dijon too, a short walk from the station and the centre of town.
Disliked: The hallways are quite dark and the wifi doesn’t work well in the rooms.
