Liked: Staff very gentle and perfect position
Disliked: Not a five stars hotel... I'm sorry... The room with a noisy conditioning, the bathroom too big and cold, forniture overused, dirty moquette and at the end a bedbug in the bed.

To say that this stay...

Liked: To say that this stay was exceptional would be an understatement. There are five star hotels and then there is Le Royal Lion. It has been a while since we last felt completely swept off our feet with service this stellar! It has been a while we have felt subject to the old school-James Bond- style-royal treatment. The breakfast is delicious and luckily they don't serve lunch and dinner, otherwise it would be impossible to stand on the measuring scale after this stay. Everything about the breakfast evokes the best possible attributes of French cuisine. Think: you wake up and finally someone had thought to bring the freshest croissants, the best jams, the coolest omelette - just for youThe room was spacious really nicely furnished and it had everything needed. I didn't check if they had sewing needles and threads, but I am sure they had that too. The staff: patient, attentive, responsive and very very kind. They really made us feel like a million dollars! Thank you so much for being so kind!

Great location , comfortable rooms...

Liked: Great location in the heart of the city - a short walk to the old town. Valet parking. Attractive building , well appointed and stylishly decorated
Disliked: Although the bathroom was large and airy, the bathtub (with shower) clearly favoured small Frenchmen and childrenThe bar - although stylish and comfortable - needs a far more efficient system for taking orders and delivering drinks. It took 25 mins for our order to be processed and delivered. With prices typical of a 5 star establishment , no snacks were provided or offered with the drinks.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location near centre of the city, yet quiet at night. Super breakfast and nice French style interiors.
Disliked: Lovely all round hotel. Maybe a bigger lounge area at ground floor

Very good stay , great...

Liked: Very clean , very comfortable King side bed , large bathroom , great location, 5 -10 minute walk from old town.
Disliked: Upon check in , I was told concierge staff will be able to make next day lunch reservation at a buchon restaurant , but I never received any message the same evening . The next morning , another staff did not make any reservation as was promised . I sent three messages through booking website before check in , but I received no answer ; I was informed by staff at check in they never received them !

An enjoyable comfortable stay in...

Liked: The location is really perfect! The room had a lot of space, all the facilities were at the right place and of the highest quality. The breakfast cost every penny spent.
Disliked: The space used for the breakfast is bit tiny to my liking.

Excellent hotel and location!

Liked: We had a suite and it was perfectly sized. The location was very central to shops, restaurants and the old town.
