Good, convenient, modern hotel close...

Liked: Modern building, close to Lausanne, but outside city centre. Reasonably priced.
Disliked: Not enough parking spaces available. Rooms backward facing with dull views.

Just what I needed for...

Liked: Staff (I met 5 in total) were always thoroughly lovely and super helpful. Happy to speak in English. Room was immaculately clean and once I worked out that the reason the balcony sun shade was down was because I kept pressing the (what I thought was) a light button that didn't do anything, the view was stunning! I also had to google how to operate the tilt and turn door onto the big balcony (with table and chairs) which was easy with the free WiFi. Good quality bedding and towels. Switzerland is more expensive than UK but the prices at LaVaux would not be out of place there. Lots of space, shower excellent and the view just perfect. I haven't travelled abroad for 25 years, and coming here as a single traveller was very daunting. Hotel Lavaux turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I thought it was excellent.
Disliked: Maybe time to replace my mattress.

Sweet hotel in a lovely...

Liked: Sweet little location. Just what we needed for a little getaway! Be prepared to walk.
Disliked: I wish the room had some sort of coffee maker, but the instant coffee wasn’t so bad. The road noise when door was open was shockingly loud.

Liked: Staff was friendly, great views from the balcony, perfect location for getting around via train.Walking distance to Cully to get the wine train.
