Passable
Liked: It was OK for one night. it is relatively close to the center. It was clean, and economical with some nice places to eat around the area during the day.
Disliked: The area around the hotel at night did not feel that safe and the hotel seemed to serve as well as a motel, so it had an interesting mixture of guests.

Very good
Liked: I've stayed a few times for one-night stopovers. Heading somewhere in Mexico. I find it best to reserve a week in advance. They have two quick taco puestos/restaurants three minutes walk. And a half dozen more restaurants a 15 to 20 min walk. The area is a famous Guadalajara landmark - called the nine-corners and is fabulous for foodies.
Disliked: I can not think of any problem for me. You need a basic skill for Espanola it helps. The single rooms are small - but for one night they are fine.
