Fantastic location but that's it!

Liked: Central location close to all attractions. We left a one for staff because the first receptionist we dealt with is really in the wrong job! The one who took over on the Wednesday was a breath of fresh air, sadly I didn't get his name.
Disliked: Poor heating, cold showers until the morning we left. We arrived Monday pm, told the very unhelpful receptionist about the heating and water on Tuesday and then the helpful one on Wednesday. Having stayed here 5 years ago it would appear it has gone down hill badly. Relatively clean but towels and bedding were tired, because we'd stayed happily before didn't read current reviews and sadly many of the bad ones are justified. Also concerning there is nobody available in an emergency between 10pm and 10am. There was a mix up in breakfast arrangements but failed to get hold of anyone until 11.30am via email. Sadly there won't be a third visit

No hot water

Liked: It was easy to find and in a fairly quiet location
Disliked: There was no hot water. I spoke to the person on reception, and he said he would get in touch with maintenance. Then said maintenance had been. Still no hot water. I was then told that someone else in the building must have used it and to try again later. I did this, but still no hot water. I booked a room with a bath on purpose. I checked out and went elsewhere.

Liked: The location was great and the place was clean
Disliked: The heaters are not working and we are in winter. The wifi is not working at all. The staff are not helpful at all.

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful room in a castle style with an amazing view of the whole of Prague. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but the entire center is within walking distance in a few minutes.

Disliked: I came on the first January, one day earlier of my booking, and was told that they dont have a free place and for reimbursement I should ask the manager per Email. After several emails and messages via booking, still neither manager no any other person answered me even after one months. There was no obligingness, not even a partial reimbursement or suggestion to visit them on any other day during the year for example. This would be a good service. So the rules are very strickt, but unfriendly. Think twice before booking. At the same time the woman at the reception was very pleasant, even if she couldnt help me and I had to find another hotel and pay double.
