Liked: Excellent, central location with walking distance to all the attractions (at least for a young, active person like myself). Also, it's located on a quiet street.I really liked the traditional room key.The staff was very friendly and welcoming, both at the front desk and the restaurant.The restaurant was small and cosy, and each table had a real rose placed on it, which added a special touch.The breakfast hours are generous (7-11). Don't know if it's the same hours on weekends.I stayed in a single room, and although it wasn't what you would call fancy, its simplicity made it very adequate. After all, I wasn't planning on spending a lot of time there. I loved the high ceiling and the old fashioned windows. The chocolate on the pillow, and the bottle of water on the table, was also a nice touch that made me feel very welcome. Also, the mattress was very firm, which I prefer, so I slept very comfortably, but some people might find it uncomfortable.When I asked to have the hand soap refilled, I saw when I came back from breakfast that not only had they refilled it, but they had also taken the time to make the bed, and empty the bin. I forgot to leave a tip for housekeeping upon checking out. They did a wonderful job. Very service minded.
Disliked: The selection on the breakfast buffet could've been wider. I personally would've liked it very much if they'd offered pancakes, but in a small hotel such as this I suppose limitation is better and just offer the basics (cold cuts, veggies, fruit, yogurt, eggs, beans, sausage) instead of having to throw away food.It's quite cold in the restaurant at this time of the year, because the restaurant is located next to the entrance, and the door to the restaurant was wide open, so when the garbage men came, they left the entrance door open and let the cold in.The rooms aren't soundproof, so I could clearly hear the other guests in the hallway talking, and opening and closing their doors. Fortunately I was prepared for this with ear plugs.Although I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, I still found cobweb hanging from the ceiling.The Internet connection was weak. I had to reconnect manually every now and then.I hope that in the future they will install chrome cast, because there's nothing watchable on TV, since all the channels are in German and there are no subtitles. There isn't even a music channel.The lighting was too bright, especially in the morning when you've just woken up and your eyes are sensitive to light. There was no dimmer.

Beautiful place to stay in...

Liked: Good location, tasty breakfast. Very friendly staff. Nice and clean interior. I really liked the style of the building and rooms, especially the antique elevator.
Disliked: The bathroom does not have ventilation, or I couldn't figure out how to turn it on, so it took some waiting time between all of us could shower. Despite of it, it's very comfortable and has all the appliances, even the make up magnifying mirror and little seat for placing the clothes while showering.
