Disappointing front desk service

Liked: Good location, quick access to the Subway. Clean no-frills hotel.
Disliked: We had mistakenly asked for a single bed room and asked to be moved to a double for the second night. The front desk person said there would not be a problem, and made a note on the record. The following morning, as agreed, we woke up early, packed and came down with our luggage. The new person at the front desk saw the note but refused to help us without paying a large extra amount. He was very unpleasant. We have platinum status on IHG but that didn't count for anything.

I would recommend to anyone...

Liked: Breakfast was good and it was nice to have full service in the hotel. The staff through out were friendly and accommodating. Not one thing was there to complain about at this hotel. It would be my hotel of choice. Location was great and easy to access the entire city.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about, truly a wonderful experience for me.

It was a good Stay...

Liked: The property was pretty close to everything and it had a restaurant attached that’s has an happy hour for 12-7pm everyday! It was pretty nice. You may feel the subway a little bit too.
Disliked: The tv was a little difficult to figure out and the it could use more storage in the shower.

Quiet and comfortable

Liked: It’s quiet , and clean . Close to the Trains . And also easy to get to in the A train to and from JFK
Disliked: A very simple tip - a few hooks on the top walls for coats : jackets
