Not worth £299

Liked: Decor is lush. Staff were lovely.
Disliked: Rooms are overly priced. Nothing special about the rooms £299 for one night in a bog standard room and a bed that's not comfortable at all, then £40 for breakfast on top of that is ridiculous. Stayed here before for cheaper and the price included breakfast.

Good central hotel with excellent...

Liked: Good central location. Breakfast selection was excellent with vegan options like porridge with plant-based milks. Kettle in room for tea and coffee making (with decent sized mugs) and a few freebies in the mini-fridge - bottled waters, IRN-bru and tunnocks caramel bars. All staff very friendly and helpful. Bar looked good but we didn’t drink there.
Disliked: Our room was a bit dark, looking out onto a windowed wall and the laminate floor wasn’t wearing well with gaps between the boards - ie no big problem! It was a bit pricey but compared well with other Edinburgh hotels.

Liked: Location was really good, in walking distance to all major attractions! The room itself was clean and comfortable! The staff were friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: The lift was quite slow

Disliked: Heated towel rail in bathroom didn't appear to work.
