Edinburgh for thr first time.
Liked: We used your location as a destination center for my first trip to Scotland. Ease of ground transportation and coach tours. The staff was very helpful covering our questions and immediately responsive to any concerns.
Disliked: No complaints, we just did not have many days to enjoy the visit!

Right in the heart of...
Liked: This hotel is right outside Edinburgh Waverly Station which is an absolute bonus when trying to get out of the station and to enjoy your trip right in the middle of Edinburgh city. It was all set up for Christmas too!
Disliked: The lift was out of order unfortunately, which made our climb up to the 5th floor a little inconvenient. It was just lucky that we packed light and could handle the stairs. At least the stairs were sturdy.

Disliked: Lift was out of operation so we hat to climb 82 steps to our room and we are both over 80.The main heating in our room was not functioning so we had rely on 2 small electric radiators. The whole of the hotel was pretty cold. The room had no drawers or shelves for storage.

The lift and the temperature...
Liked: Staff were so lovely and location was excellent.
Disliked: I checked in and lift was out of service for a few days. I was not notified at this by email. I have a mobility issue where I struggle going up and down stairs. It takes me long time to go up and down. Went into room, room temperature was not just cold, it was freezing cold. Outside was warmer. Tried to change the thermostat and could not work it. My friend went down to reception to ask how it works as room was freezing cold. The gentleman came up, and got it to work and told us it takes 20 - 30 minutes to heat up. Never been so cold in my life and never heard of it can take 20-30 minutes for room to heat up
