Each bedroom is contemporary in design taking inspiration from the Trinity - Durham Cathedral Castle and University. Exceptional

Disliked: The chairs in the main dining room are in desperate need of recovering and are looking very worn. The rest of the hotel experience was great and furniture and accessories in good repair.

Nice relaxing break.

Liked: Good location near enough for a short walk into the centre.
Disliked: Breakfast was disappointing for the standard of the Hotel.

A great break in a...

Liked: Pretty room loved the skylights and the bathroom was fab. The hotel itself and the facilities were gorgeous.
Disliked: A bit more light in the bedroom - there wasn’t much sun!

Short but very sweet great...

Liked: Stayed a couple times now I think it’s got to be best hotel in Durham easily best location right in town great building lovely bar warm welcome really nice breakfast what's not to like!

Durham was a lovely City...

Liked: The historic building was extremely interesting and had been sensitively renovated and turned into a bespoke hotel. The dining room was particularly unique. The room was very clean and the bathroom/ shower was very good. Great location for the Cathedral and Castle, and the staff were all very friendly.
Disliked: Unfortunately due to our late booking, we were only able to book a standard double rather than the larger deluxe double. ( our friends managed this) The room was very clean, although a little cramped. The only thing that was missing, would be a lounge with an open fire to allow is to send some time relaxing, although the coffee shop on the ground floor did offer some options.

5 stars for everything…Kirsty and...

Liked: Everything…from arrival in reception we knew we were in for a great weekend. Our room was spotless, warm and welcoming. The property is outstanding and very photogenic. Very good value. It is close to everything…perfect location. We loved breakfast and on Saturday evening we had dinner in the restaurant, it was outstanding. We would like to thank Kirsty and her team…attentive, welcoming, nothing to much trouble and throughout our stay 5 star service.
Disliked: The parking…website says free parking, first come first serve for spaces. This is not the case. Ringo App used for parking - £20 for 24 hour period. So, paid £40 to park for both days. I think the website needs to be a lot clearer.
