Hotel where the entire staff...

Liked: It's hard to rate a hotel where the entire staff doesn't understand where they work and what they do! When I checked in, they started blackmailing me right away! The room I booked was a 7m2 room, a tiny rat's den that shared a wall with the hotel elevator shaft. But at the same time, they also mentioned that I could upgrade my so-called choice for €10+tourist taxes, etc. I was also allowed to go and see my first choice so that I would be sure of my upgrade choice, etc., etc.Of course, I paid the extra fee and at least got to go next to the elevator. But the suffering didn't end there!The new room was also sloppy, dirty and with broken items. The ceiling chandelier, which was already broken when I first entered the room, also lost its light diffuser and shade during the first night. The next day after my remark, nothing was done to fix it, but the shade was simply taken away and for the next few days that my room was rented out, there were three sad bulbs (light sources) in the ceiling without a shade, of course only two of the three bulbs were lit! But that wasn't the end of the suffering! The entire time I spent in the room, I felt like I was on a plane during takeoff, the fan for ventilating the toilet/bathroom made an incredible noise, as did the room's regular ventilation device, so the window had to be open all the time, and the loud street noise by the railway station was my constant companion even at night, despite closing the window for the night. The partitions between the rooms also made it possible to defy loneliness, because the tenants of the neighboring room essentially kept me company with the sounds necessary for their daily activities.But in short, I would avoid this accommodation at all costs, unless the room price dropped below 50€ per day, which would perhaps compensate for the suffering.

Liked: I often stay at this hotel due to its proximity to the central station. It is usually fine, at least clean. But last time the room had hair lying around and blocked pipes with water not coming through very well. Some of the staff seemed just tired. And on top of that the price was particularly high for such a small room.

Disliked: The room was seriously small but the bathroom was just right.
