Contemporary stay in the heart...

Liked: Nice amenities, great location and fantastic boutique design and feel.
Disliked: Parking options limited - 43/night felt steep and only other option was to find a spot in residentia are 7-10 blocks away

Great hotel, scary neighborhood.

Liked: Hotel was very clean and upscale. Looked like it had been remodeled and was done well. The staff were very nice and helpful.
Disliked: I was very wary of the neighborhood. We did not feel safe. The main reason for choosing the Stark was that it was 1 block away from the venue where the wedding we were attending was held. Felt anxious walking there, and very concerned walking back in the evening. Again, this is no reflection on the hotel, just circumstances.

Liked: I’m originally from Portland and stay here whenever I come back to visit. It’s such a great high-low. Beautiful but comfortable, luxurious but relatable. Great for short stays, perfect for long ones. Also the pet policy is amazing. They provide all these extra things to help your pet feel more comfortable including a new toy.

Liked: Super cute. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Disliked: If you are a light sleeper, there are clubs close by that you could hear and lots of construction happening around the Hotels location can be heard in the morning.
