Such a relaxing place to...

Liked: Grand Chancellor has wonderful staff, very friendly and always happy to help. Close to shops and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and the rooms were very clean.
Disliked: Nothing.

My stay was not value...

Liked: The morning, afternoon tea & lunch meals were nice. The main Chicken meal at the Gala dinner was a very generous serve, but not particularly appetising. Some vegetable accompaniment would have been nice. I enjoyed taking advantage of the swimming pool.
Disliked: I would have preferred a room without an adjoining access door as I could hear every sound made in the next room. This made it difficult to relax and get any sleep. The guests were not noisy. They just disturbed me coming to their room late, having a conversation or making hot drinks. All of which I could clearly hear. The bathroom floor was not level with the main room floor. This was a trip hazard! I was unaware of the step until I tripped over it. Forewarning guests would have diminished this risk, as would placing a hazard strip on the lip. I found the buffet breakfast very ordinary & would have preferred to select a few items at set prices. It was way too expensive for the amount of food I ate.
