Best hotel in our town...

Liked: Rooms were very spacious and clean, excellent and prime location, staff was very helpful and kind.
Disliked: Perhaps that our room was a little warm but we opened our windows to get some cool air in and that worked

Very quiet location and attentive...

Liked: The location is excellent. Walking distance to all the highlights
Disliked: Check in is fussy. There are a lot of internal stairs and a couple of lifts to and from rooms (in fairness the building is at least 600 years old). Our bell hop was insistent on showing us how to “use the room”. It’s just unnecessarily complicated at the end of a long journey. The beds aren’t comfortable so if you’re a light sleeper prepare for a lumpy bed.
