Liked: Nice historic location with a modern touch. Lots of parking spaces. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Beware that it's on the edge of a small town, so you need to use a car to get to supermarkets and restaurants.

Disliked: Abit far away from anywhere, you have to have a car or get a taxi if you want to get to any city.

We didn't!

Liked: Not a huge amount to like I'm afraid, apart from gorgeous big dog in reception. The four of us arrived for a two night stay as part of our Euro24 Travels, and had two double rooms booked. Having spent nearly an hour in reception booking in with the hapless receptionist, we were then told by her manager that the rooms were for single occupancy. When we asked him the definition of a double room he declined to comment and attempted to extort 296Euro (per room) for room service to bring an extra duvet and pillow!!! Considering the lack of facilities (derelict pool, no tv's on for football, empty riverside bar (we were told only German matches shown) we had a very lucky escape!! We asked for our payments to be reversed, so we could leave, which in fairness they did straight away. And so to the only "like" of the day the manager very kindly booked us a taxi to depart after nearly two hours of faff which we will never get back!!
Disliked: Hmmm!!!! previous review we found when it was too late, stated the place was creepy!! wish we had seen that when we first booked back in January. If your going to the football this summer best not stay here. We got a distinct impression they don't want you and trust me, you won't want to be there!! Plenty of other places around particularly if your reliant on public transport or taxis, this is a run down Pontins / Butlins from the 1940s in the back of beyond! Having said that it might be great for locals, buildings are old worldly (with potential) but run down. Rooms were very clean and tidy though, and if your looking for somewhere ultra quiet and a tiny bit haunted why not give it a go!! Keep one eye open of a night though, its perhaps why they prefer people to be in single rooms!! :-).
