Hugely dissapointing

Liked: Location to motorway. Clean bedding. Breakfast was very good. And there was a real person present which was a bonus after the arrival experience.
Disliked: When selected this accommodation yesterday, it was NOT at all clear or obvious on the app that the restaurant is always closed on Monday and Tuesday. Interestingly after I complained it is now showing 🤔.Having travelled all day, our regular routine is get to a place with a restaurant, walk about for an hour then have dinner. We had to drive half an hour more, as if a whole day wasn't enough, to try and find somewhere to eat. Also the place wasn't manned, and although there is a keybox, the whole place was unmanned. It felt soulless, uninviting, dirty ashtrays and empty bottles were, on the table upon arrival, right at the entrance and those were still there this morning. It felt spooky and uncomfortable from the point of view of no living soul anywhere in the relatively big place. Our firm view that when the restaurant isn't open, they should NOT accept accommodation booking either. This way, we've been left with the worst possible impression in our 30 years of travelling through Europe both ways.

pleasant hotel in quiet location...

Liked: Was surprised to find that we had manage to book on a day when the hotel was closed - but no problem, the KeyBoy system allowed us to check in easily. It was good that the check-in information was provided in both German and English. The breakfast was pre-order, which I liked as it meant there was no waste. I did not believe them when they said the rolls were large - I was wrong they were huge!It was great to have bottles of fresh water available.The shower was excellent.
Disliked: I would have liked to be there on a day when the restaurant was open as friends tell us it is really good. I think it would be good if you could send out the check in information in English as well as German.
