Fantastic location and great room...

Liked: Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. The view of the lake was the best thing in the room.
Disliked: We had booked a room that I didn't realise was in the Gasthaus - so not in the main hotel. We were really disappointed with the room. It was a very dark and gloomy corridor in a building down the road from the main hotel with no lift and two flights of stairs to lug two suitcases up so not ideal. The room was very dated and not at all what we were expecting. We went straight back to reception and asked for an upgrade. We were offered a variety of rooms in the main hotel with lake views and opted for this for an extra 50E. I guess as it was end of season, the location was quiet but the hotel seemed very much closed with no bar or anything on site which is not what we expected.The bed wasn't the most comfortable for me and the room was so hot overnight and uncomfortable, I'm glad it wasn't summer when we were there. The bathroom was just OK, nothing fancy but it was fine.

The town is great but...

Liked: Great location and lovely breakfast a short walk away.
Disliked: No prior information about the hotel and parking despite several e mails to the hotel. Steep stairs to the room in the guest house. Room was basic with bare light bulbs and slightly tatty. Bathroom needs renovation.

Lovely stay in a beautiful...

Liked: Lovely location. Fantastic breakfast which is served at the partner hotel at the end of the street. Good safe parking at a site near to the ferry terminal. You can unload car next to hotel before parking.
Disliked: Nothing really. Given weather while we were there tea and coffee in the room would be useful!

Great historic town. Lovely hotel....

Liked: Great breakfast. Really good value for the money. Super comfy pillows!!!! and bed. Friendly staff. Lovely town. Too bad rainy when we were there. Easy to find. Parking was important too.

A short but very nice...

Liked: Breakfast was wonderful with seating inside or outside with view of the lake.
Disliked: My room was not in the main building. When I left the room and building I did not pay attention and had problems finding the building with my room. I finally found a waiter in a restaurant who happened to know where Room 3 was located - right next to the restaurant which was not part of the hotel.

Great views!

Liked: Fantastic views on the port. Close to everything. Nice rooms, comfortable bedding. breakfast is in different location but fabulous.
Disliked: The chap on check out made everything extremely slow and difficult, the lady at reception previously was very good however.
