Liked: The staff was great! Irene and Francisco helped us a lot! Our room was too hot and we got a free room upgrade with better AC.
Disliked: Not the hotel’s fault, but during our stay there was a strike outside and it was very loud the whole day.

Liked: The hotel is downtown in a good area (yes, there are street people, but this is a reality for SF). Vallet parking (paid) right next door was comfortable. The room had a nice decor (we didn't mind the sink in the room).
Disliked: The room was facing the street and due to the air conditioning (traversing the exterior wall) all the street noise was in the room.

Better hotels to stay at....

Disliked: While we truly wanted to love our stay, it didn’t work out like that. We booked our room the night before our stay & no where on the booking did it state the hotel next door would be on strike & banging a metal trash can with a hammer from 7a to 10p. Mind you Hotel G uses the valet services for their guest at the same hotel that was on a strike. I had asked to move rooms & was advised there were no rooms. Our room was on the side with banging trash cans. I called the hotel after our stay to express that we needed to come to agreement on the fact that we paid A LOT for a 1 night stay to not even be able to truly relax. Claudia the manager was not helpful, a bit rude & really did not care that our stay was awful. I understand a strike cannot be controlled. But there could have been a warning when booking on the site. We all know this can be done. Do yourself a favor & I would relax at a different hotel. Worst anniversary stay we have ever had. I have to say what is most upsetting is the lack of customer service Hotel G is not providing & the lack of not caring about the guests who stay. Do better.
