Great experience.

Liked: Great central location opposite the main train station with access to trams, buses and metro. Hotel provides a free ticket to public transport for the duration of the stay.Room was comfortable, clean and with adjustable heating controls. Bathroom had both a shower and a bath. A complimentary safe is provided in each room. There is 24 hour reception and the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.
Disliked: No anti-slip math in the bath/shower.The elevator configuration to the upper floors is cumbersome and confusing.

Great place to stay near...

Liked: Nice, old hotel very convenient to Hamburg's main train station -- just across the street. For a city hotel, our room was quiet and spacious and had two nice chairs for comfortable sitting. Nice shower in bathroom. Good breakfast with very diverse offerings. City center and museums all in easy walking distance, and many restaurants also in easy walking distance. We would stay here again if we ever get back to elegant Hamburg.
Disliked: Nothing!
