Disliked: Property was a historical icon in its day. While the secure parking lot and fenced facility gives some peace of mind it reminds the visitor that the local surrounding area is a bit run down and with limited amenities. It is sad to see an old historical home with facilities in decline.

Liked: Was in town for an event and it was ideal location for it.
Disliked: The bed didn’t have any type of comforter. Was a sheet and some type of coverlet that had no weight. Not sure if it was missing or this is how all rooms, but could have used another blanket on the bed.

Liked: Room was spacious, spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Large walk in shower that was well appointed with nicely scented pump soap, shampoo/conditioner, and body lotion. Plenty of towels. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water!The bar area in an outbuilding on the property also serves as the registration area. The bartender was doing double duty. Meghan was adorable, engaging and made perfectly mixed martinis.Breakfast was served in the mansion. Everything was fresh and very delicious. Great coffee too.
Disliked: Lighting at night made it very difficult to find the registration area. Signs were present but not illuminated in any way. We drove around several times. The automatic entrance gate call button needs to be pressed to enter the property. There was no mention of this in the listing. It would've been nice to know ahead of time. Plenty of free, fenced parking.

Liked: check in was simple. Entire property fully gated; staff was excellent and the rooms were lovely. Bartenders were superb.
Disliked: fireplace is not a true gas or wood fireplace. Purely decorative in the room but room itself was wonderful.
