Exceptional

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and very patient with my faltering Spanish. Got some excellent recommendations for local tapas restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable.Breakfast was good - plenty of options and filling enough for us to last until evening tapas!We thought the location was great for getting out to the historic sites and was also a very easy walk to the train station (we went on to Seville after four nights here, but in retrospect would have preferred to spend a few more days here)

Great location, super staff, good...

Liked: The location is superb, very central. The staff are excellent - professional, friendly and welcoming. The overall look and feel of the hotel is welcoming/ I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that - but it certainly smelled nice!
Disliked: As a single traveller the rooms allocated to you are always small and often hidden away - that's not necessarily the case here and as I've been here 4 times before it obviously isn't a problem. However, the rooms are situated facing inside and there is no natural light which I don't like.

Liked: Location. Was great reception staff very friendly and welcoming helpful with questions.
Disliked: My room was dark no daylight No fresh air. Needed to have lights on all the time . Bathroom accident waiting to happen Toilet and bidet very close to each other opposite. Difficult to get out of shower and pass both. Marble floor unable to put bath mat down note enough room till well pases toilet and bidet. Rooms quite noisy could easily hear other people going to bathroom.

Liked: Fabulous helpful staff - always greeting as you walk through reception and addressing all requests efficiently and with a smile.
Disliked: Very comfortable mid-firmness bed. Clean and fresh decor everywhere.

Disappointing

Liked: The room was clean, staff polite, but this is not a 4 star hotel.
Disliked: We are travelling through a number of cities in Spain, two of our hotels have been 1 star hospederias and these were better than this hotel. Shower had to be fixed, lights in the bathroom did not turn off, shower door did not close, room was very tired, could not use the kettle without unplugging the lamp. Booking.com description included balcony and terrace, no terrace and was told this was a translation issue. No bar, was told this had closed a while ago.Definitely not 4 star, maybe 2 star.
