Liked: Location is excellent and staff are very helpful.
Disliked: No lift but it is an old building in Central Europe.

Liked: Very frendly, kind and polite staff.It is nice that the hotel is in the city center and close to many touristic and historical places.

Great stay in a lovely...

Liked: Really enjoyed how spacious yet warm the room was, and the double shower was lovely and clean. The location was great too and a very easy walk to the metro stations and attractions.
Disliked: The area was very noisy, as were the sounds from rooms above. The windows and curtains did a great job at blocking out most of the construction noise from outside but the sounds of other guests outside the room were very noisy. Thankfully this stopped within sleeping hours but it is something to be aware of.

Steep stairs to access rooms,...

Liked: The staff were very friendly, the bed very comfortable, and the room was very clean, and a decent size. Although checkin is formally until 10 pm, there was no problem arriving at 10:30. Very good location for central shopping street and Botanique / De Brouckère area. I would return to eat in the restaurant though which looked charming.
Disliked: The hotel is an old "listed" building, with about 3 rooms on each floor, with access up a very steep staircase. I was on the fourth floor - which made popping down to ask for a kettle (as there wasn't one in my room) not an inviting option. When I did mention it, it was delivered promptly. Main problem was that the drains smelt in my room - which was very clean. I was also woken by street cleaners at around 7 am.

It was a perfect hotel...

Liked: Located at the heart of the commercial area of Brussels. Being an old Art Deco Hotel protected by the City, it has no lift. The room was very clean, with a big bed, sitting space, big shower room/WC. The Tavern/restaurant of the hotel has a very bohemian vibe, with nice furniture, excellent service and good food.
