Wheelchair users beware... Beautiful building...

Liked: The valet service was an unexpected bonus. It made being a wheelchair user much easier! The staff was very friendly and attentive. As a participant in many studies at UF, the closeness of the labs and hospitals was great. We showed up early every morning. Opus coffee has two locations in the hospital lobbies closest to us, so we were able to get coffee on our way. Perfect!
Disliked: As a disable guy, I booked a disabled accessibility room with two queen beds. I was with my mother. Unfortunately, the accessibility features were intended for hearing impaired folks, not mobility impairments. The beds were difficult to get to as the aisles were rather narrow. The bathroom was terribly wheelchair unfriendly. No grab bars anywhere. The sink was not a roll-under sink. When we called the front desk, the option to get a wheelchair friendly room was presented with the drawback being that it had only one king-sized bed. So my options here were to sleep with my mother or risk falling in the shower. A shower chair was brought up to help me a little bit, but it did not remedy the situation. I understand that being in a wheelchair often limits my options, however when I pay this price for accommodations, I expect to be accommodated. Additionally, a lake-view was not an option for accessible rooms. I find it very odd that a hotel that was built for UF patients has disregarded the disabled in such a drastic way. On behalf of all my fellow disabled friends, this lack of accessibility is WILDLY unacceptable. I know man people with my same disease that go to participate in the same studies as me and I cannot recommend Eleo in good faith. Also, the windows were dirty.

Pricey but convenient stay close...

Liked: Close to campus and our daughter’s apartment. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice shower and bathroom.
Disliked: No complementary coffee or hot tea in lobby. No tea bags, or creamer in room. Keurig coffee in room was terrible. For the price, a complementary brewed coffee would have been appreciated. The restaurant sold latte’s for $7. Ridiculous

Disliked: The room we were in was clean but felt very muggy. We have stayed at this location several times and this room felt different. It needs some dehumidification.
