Exceptional
Liked: Beautiful building in fabulous location - easy to walk to many places, very helpful polite staff . I loved the wine and cheese in the afternoon it was a very nice touch and very welcoming. We checked in early and the staff said we could have our room early. Very helpful with arranging transport and trips. I would highly recommend the hotel.

Very disappointing but location, location,...
Liked: We loved the location. Extremely easy to get to all the historical sites and restaurants. We have stayed in Condado before and definitely like this location better.
Disliked: The Front Desk Staff were neutral to rude. The staff were not engaging and one girl was rather rude. We travel all over the world and it was disappointing to always be greeted with dour faces. We were given a room that had active termites in the beams, so when we checked in there were small, but many wood shavings on the bed. We brushed it off thinking that it was a one-off. We left and came back after sightseeing and there were more wood shavings on the bed. We asked to be moved (and we were) but the front desk staff was more concerned about making sure we had the same “class” room we paid for than the actual concern that they had active bugs in a guest room.We also asked if we could use four breakfast vouchers (instead of two) on our last morning - vouchers which we paid for by the way. And you would have thought I had asked for my money back - the Front Desk Staffer didn’t know what to do and he had to ask a “manager” on the other side of a half wall … it literally took THREE discussions with the manager (who never came out from behind the wall) with the Staffer to get clarity on what we were asking - which they did begrudgingly allow us to do this. Again - we paid for this upgrade. When we brought the vouchers back for them to change the date - again there was a discussion about the change and the Front Desk Staffer made the change on the card, but so rudely. Our last morning after breakfast - I went to the lobby restroom but it had a code, so I went to the Front Desk and literally told her “we are eating at the restaurant, can she share the bathroom code with me?” Again with NO customer or hospitality - she looked at me and said “Are you staying here?” which of course, I replied “I was” but we are eating on the first floor and our room was on the third????? She gave me the code - but with attitude. After all the rudeness and lack of hospitality- you tend to look longer at other things ….
