Ideal for travel to Sachsenring...

Liked: Located just on the edge of what is a very quiet town. Rooms were a good size. A good breakfast and hotel was clean.
Disliked: Was not clear on arrival that you have to call the owners and get a code for a key safe in the entrance lobby to access your room keys. Very small parking area but there is a public car park next door to hotel

Liked: The hotel was nice, the location was good for my purpose of visit - it's a small town and everything was within walking distance. Finding parking on the street (residential area) was fine too. The breakfast was good.
Disliked: Check-in was a little weird, unexpected. I arrived at 2:30 pm and the entrance was locked. After looking around for a while I called the hotel number (luckily, I had gotten a German SIM card and phone number that worked with my [US] phone a few days earlier) and was instructed to enter a code on a board with a bunch of lock boxes to get my keys for the entrance and room.I was told the next day that these instructions were sent by text to my mobile but, since it was a US based number, I never received that. So, maybe these kind of instructions should be sent by email or WhatsApp (receivable thru wifi) for someone w/o a local SIM. A note about this check-in process should be put on the hotel information - no matter which booking site is used.

Liked: Excellent staff and manager, always ready to help with a smile. Even if I didn’t know the German language, I used translation programs, and they were extraordinary.
