Very disappointing - overcharging for...

Liked: The heritage of the building and the size of the bed (not the room). The cooked element of breakfast was good.
Disliked: Our welcome was poor / unfriendly. Our room (given the price £317 B&B) was outside the main hotel - unaware beforehand. It was small, too hot and the air-conditioning was not functioning. The room was so small the tea and coffee was stored in the wardrobe. The outside door could not be closed without being banged meaning we were disturbed by our neighbours. Breakfast - browning apple in a small glass sample pot does not constitute a fruit salad. Service was very slow. Not offering decent coffee (we don’t turn the machine on for breakfast) is not acceptable at any price point these days let alone extortion.

Liked: Not much left when we arrived & waiter didn’t set our table with cutlery. No compote. Yoghurt poor.
Disliked: Fresh whole yoghurt plain. Bigger bowls! Compote available as promised on menu.
