We had a very enjoyable...

Liked: Excellent location , very comfortable beds and really enjoyed the breakfast.
Disliked: I didn’t like getting asked to donate money to charity instead of a drinks voucher in lieu of no room cleaning. I donate to charities of my own choice.

Nice place but sadly disappointing...

Liked: The breakfast was up to the usual HDV standard, as was our evening meal. The public rooms, dining room etc were really pleasant, and the staff were helpful and friendly.We were lucky to get a parking place outside, as we took the last but one place free.
Disliked: We were in the room Ma Belle which turned out to be in the basement, very big and nicely decorated but no windows at all and, the worst part, very noisy from above late into the night, moving furniture around etc, resulting in lack of sleep. This was our sixteenth different Hotel du Vin and the first time we have had such a problem.No doubt other bedrooms were up to the usual high standard.

Disliked: Hygiene of restaurant. Both my friend and I got very sick after having the scallops in the restaurant on the last day of our trip.

Good location, nice and clean.

Liked: The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and the room is impeccably clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The breakfast experience could be improved, and it would be helpful to have assistance with luggage, especially given the numerous stairs.
