It is a beautiful old...

Liked: We were upgraded to deluxe which was a lovely room with freestanding bath in bedroom and separate show in bathroom. Bit gimmicky but cute. Beautiful decorate and taste throughout hotel. Ate in restaurant and had breakfast
Disliked: Unfortunately we kept hearing a strange noise in our bedroom which sounded like some sort of pump or generator which we heard repeatedly every 2 minutes. Annoying but not overwhelming. Advised reception who said never had a complaint before. In restaurants 2 of the 9 main courses offered were not available. Additional chatted on half of them (additional £14.95 for the steak!) no steak knife offered and although tasty was a bit chewy. We had already asked for tartare sauce - none, French mustard - none, did get English mustard so didn’t like to ask for anything else. Asked for a floater coffee afterwards, I know it’s a bit 80s. But staff didn’t know. Parking is l8mited 10:spaces accessed via a narrow arch - watch out if you have a large car, full when we arrived but found one of the three next to the side wall of the hotel £15 per night charge! It is cheaper to park for 24 hours in the public car park close by
