Superb

Liked: Hotel is in a perfect location for city, quay and exploring! Very Limited pre-bookable parking on site, but there is an NCP payable car park just across the road next to hotel, which is convenient. You can drop off and pick up at hotel entrance though. We had the Deluxe room and it was spacious and very comfortable, and extremely quiet considering the busy road outside. Very good amenities in room.Overall, hotel has been refurbed to a high standard. And the bar area is lovely!
Disliked: Hotel is a little expensive, to be honest. Considering our room included breakfast, it was just a very basic continental breakfast! There was a cooked breakfast menu, but it was £22 per person - a lot for avocado and poached egg on one slice of toast! Also, the Deluxe room - although lovely and spacious, there was a lot of wall space but only a tiny wardrobe which also housed the ironing board. Thankfully, we only had two things to hang up! And the bathroom - there is no shelving at all. Hence, nowhere to put toiletry bags etc - we had to put them elsewhere…or on the floor. Just little things to tweak. But would we stay again - yes!

Accomodation was over expensive for...

Liked: The food was very good
Disliked: Parking situation, not enough of it - the wide angle picture make it look like parking was plentiful when it wasn't and it was at a high cost if it was available, i.e. not free! And no lift to our room, had to drag large suitcase up the stairs to room. Our room had a bath and a tacky cheap shower curtain, so water went over the floor.

Very nice hotel and lovely...

Liked: Room very nice and comfortable. Reception staf very pleasant.
Disliked: Car parking - all spaces reserved for guests, although the website just said limited spaces and no mention of booking these spaces in advance. Public car park not too far away but expensive if you have to pay for many hours which I had too.

Chaotic

Liked: Bed was comfy
Disliked: Bathroom door difficult to manover myself in and out as the glass door was was jammed. Burnt myself off the hot towel rack. Ordering taxi’s through the hotel which I’ve never had issues before was painful especially when having meetings and needed to be there on time. Checking in was unclear if I had breakfast or not ….Overall nice hotel but standards could be better staff to be more attentive Wi-Fi didn’t work on my laptop for some reason.

It is my favourite but...

Liked: Always comfortable, clean and professional. Chefs eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was the best yet, delicious. Helen is the best, so attentive and great at her job. She makes it like a home from home
Disliked: Prices seem to be rising and for obvious reasons just a gentle reminder for reception staff not to call out your room number. A wedding heads up would have been useful for the swimming/evening dinner.
