I’d definitely recommend, I’d definitely...

Liked: The hotel was one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in , in a while. From the friendly check in to the quality of the toiletries, I couldn’t fault.I’d definitely recommend, and I’d definitely return.
Disliked: There wasn’t anything I didn’t like .I’m allergic to dogs and other animals, I was allocated a room that wasn’t used for guests with dogs, and whilst dogs were welcome in the bar, they were not in the restaurant, which is a welcome change.

Poor

Disliked: I paid for parking. Then one day I came back and my allocated space had been given to someone else. The garden was closed for renovations. The room bedsheets were not changed from Tue to Sunday, they were made but not changed. I knew this as there was an old stain on them. The room and general hotel felt a bit tired. Didn't really enjoy my stay there. They did not hoover up the dog biscuits on the dog matt.

Nice hotel but they need...

Liked: The hotel itself is lovely and we have stayed before, staff are very friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was very big, a lovely walk in shower and full roll top bath. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
Disliked: There is currently a refurbishment/build project underway on the terrace which means you can't sit outside, the area has metal barriers in place and all the furniture is piled up for the construction work to take place. There was nothing on the website to indicate this was the case. Also, be aware that there is a huge building to the side of the hotel which is about to be demolished, our room looked over the site which was not attractive and I wonder how noisy that will be when the main work gets underway. The hotel should be honest on their website that work is taking place, the garden is closed for about 8 weeks and when the building is demolished next door it will be noisy and I wouldn't stay during that work.
