Disappointing

Disliked: Staff invisible. I sat down at a dirty table full of mess and had to clear myself - every time I went to the bar I had to wait as no one was there. I booked a suite it was ‘just ok’ it was noisey with people (staff) running past our door what felt like all night. It was over priced and the car park spaces were tiny.Food was eye wateringly expensive for a hotel restaurant.

Very good

Liked: Decor, level of comfort, staff
Disliked: Not enough tea bags! Also a bit surprised there was no fridge. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so would have liked a bottle of white wine in the room. Also, a supply of fresh milk is often provided in good hotels. Again, a fridge would have been ideal.

Lovely night in Harrogate

Liked: The staff were very accommodating. The food was very good and the room and facilities were excellent.
Disliked: The car park front and rear were full and I had to park on the road which is free overnight but need to pay from 8 AM

Superb

Good but not great

Liked: Bed was very comfy. Shower and basin had really good pressure. Room clean
Disliked: The building and rooms are beginning to need a refurbishment. Breakfast average

Disliked: Very noisy floorboards, must have been very annoying for the room below.

Superb

It needs a facelift, but...

Liked: I love the Harrogate Hotel du Vin. However, no matter how good the staff are it is now shabby.The food is good (although lacking the ‘touches’). The no portions slightly small / the sausages not quite as good?The service very good.
Disliked: The state of the place. The fact that they have ripped out (and that’s what it looks like) the mini bar fridges. Tatty. Let alone no content!

A little bit overpriced badly...

Liked: The hotel was a good location, breakfast area and food was pleasant
Disliked: The general maintenance in the hotel is poor. we booked their most expensive suite to find all four blinds across four windows were broken so couldn’t be raised which given the location of the suite in the eaves of the building having four broken blackout blinds in the down position was very poor.The blinds had clearly been broken for sometime. I then opted for one of the other suites but my colleague then had this one, they promised him that the blinds would be replaced the next morning but three days later they still hadn’t. Trying to find the rooms because they don’t give them numbers is very difficult and from the second floor several other floors that aren’t the third floor are accessed by staircases, but they have no room names at the bottom of the staircases so you have to walk up the staircases to find what rooms are up there? Just generally poorly organised and maintained?
