Liked: bedroom, facilities and bar etc were nice
Disliked: Horrendous smell in the room from about 3am. Smelt like the sewers and hung around for a few hours.The meal was average at best, I am not one to complain but the scallops were ruined by the topping, the cheese potatoes were awful and the fillet steak was tasteless.

Liked: A lovely and comfortable hotel, with a taste of luxury. Excellent breakfast.

Room shouldn’t be let out...

Liked: The room was up 3 flights of stairs. Then the roof was so low myself and my partner hit our heads. The windows don’t close properly and the blinds let the sun in which disturbed. The shower burnt my partner. It kept going hot and cold

Needs a good deep clean...

Liked: Excellent location in easy walking distance to centre of town.Nice relaxing vibe in the lounge, good drinks and cocktails.Staff very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Tired room that is well overdue a refresh.Stains on the carpet and net curtains.Bathroom drains had a really nauseating smell and when we tried to open the window in the bathroom there were cobwebs and lots of mould around the frames.The sash windows although very beautiful were rattling all night in the wind which disturbed our sleep. Also it was annoying that we couldn't sit at the dressing room table to do our hair and makeup because the mirror was too high, therefore we had to stand up to see in the mirror.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

Liked: Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and lots of choice. We arrived around an hour earlier than our check in time, but we were able to check in. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
Disliked: My only observation that could be improved upon, was the fact that there were quite a lot of cobwebs in communal areas of the hotel as well as a few in the room. Just requires a little extra attention, but this does not detract from the enjoyable stay myself and my partner had.
