Liked: The breakfast is excellent. The location is very close to the Picasso Museum and right in the heart of Le Marais. The room itself was nice and the bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: There was a footed very tall bathtub in our room. For me, it presented a huge danger. Even if I could get in, I doubt that I could have gotten out. Therefore, it was not possible to take a shower. I had to wash my hair in the sink. Had I seen the tub upon check in, I probably would have not accepted the room. This hotel is for younger people.

Way Too Dark like a...

Liked: The old building structure has maintained, and you could see how old house for labor class was built in old time. You could experience how dark the inside of the houses was with small windows back then. Get to see Christian Lacroix designed wallpaper and you might like it IF you are a huge fun of Christian Lacroix.
Disliked: Room was way too dark; we checked in at the night and we didn't unpack our luggage because we could hardly see what's in our hands! To make it worse, one of the room lightings was broken and they couldn't fix it. We thought it would be better in the day light, but it was same in the morning. I do not understand how this hotel gets score higher than 4! We felt like we were in a haunted house in nightmare. It was so dark we concerned safety issue, too. I told the front desk right away if they could change our room to any other room with better light. He said he did have room but not for 5 nights, but next morning if they have cancellation they will arrange. I told him we will check out tomorrow morning and if I can pay for a night right away. He said I can do that in the morning. So, I searched for a better hotel from next day, and paid for it at check out. But in the morning, a reception lady said I still had to pay for 2 full nights. Didn't even give us any discount at all. It turned out they had multiple rooms available, and it wasn't like they lost business opportunity due to our booking. We didn't even use the room next day and they still charged full amount for 2 nights. So, I paid full amount for a night for 2 hotels. One more thing about this hotel is the size of the room is very small due to the structure and design of interior. Do not ask for a room with a bathtub if you are traveling with a company. Room was awfully small and no place nor a drawer to put your things in (even if there was you wouldnt use it cuz you can not see anything in the dark) When I was a college student I travelled to Rome with a friend, and we stayed in crappy 3-star hotel but that hotel was way better than this hotel.
