To avoid / the staff...

Liked: We experienced racial discrimination at this hotel. when we showed up at the rooftop to enjoy the place, the manager Manuel literally attacked us, shouting to leave and get off the terrace. when I told him that we were hotel guests and that we wanted to enjoy the terrace and the view, he told us that the terrace was full and that we could not access it. People who were not guests of the hotel, who came just after us, were able to have access to the rooftop. I specify these people were white. Long story short, if you are not white, you would not be treated the same as white people who are not even a guest of the hotel. I thought I had paid for a night's stay in a hotel where I could have access to the terrace which is clearly highlighted on the reservation site, but no.
Disliked: Old, rundown hotel without any interest. Dark room with windows overlooking the hall. Decoration, old mattress, not at all comfortable, we didn't sleep. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Liked: Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and food was fresh.The hotel is well situated, staff were helpful and sincere. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. It was warm a little too warm - a/c was not in use it was out of season. We were given a fan which was helpful. All the facilities were clean and shower was well stocked. Beds were comfy.
Disliked: Nothing - everything was as it was described.

Lovely stay

Liked: Lovely old elegant hotel, staff are fantastic and location couldn't be better right in the centre near everything.
Disliked: Maybe the beds could do with upgrading.. a lot of squeaky springs every time you turn in your bed.. we could also hear the beds upstairs and next door so ours wasn't the only one...

Liked: the room and bed were lovely and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Easy location to walk around.the staff were kind and helpful, especially kitchen staff, after I was sick. They let me have breakfast a bit late. Breakfast was excellent.I enjoyed the upper level patio in the evening, and the music was excellent.
Disliked: I don't speak Spanish well. There was a misunderstanding about a bottle of Cava that they gave me. I tried to ask them to cork bottle but just confused everyone. I am sorry that I may have hurt the feelings of young woman who brought it to my room later. Please apologize for me. I just wanted something to plug it so it wouldn't go flat! My fault..
