Hotel Des Arts is around the corner from the Kalverstraat shopping area in the heart of Amsterdam. The Dam Square Royal Palace and the Flower Market are all within 1640 feet. The recently renovated rooms in 2023 decorated with old-Dutch touches and come with a private bathroom. Some of the rooms look out over the Amstel river others are located at the more quiet back of the hotel. Buffet breakfast with hot food as well is available each morning in the breakfast room. Exceptional

All in all everything was...

Liked: The hotel is in the perfect location! Super central. The room was beautiful and clean. The girl at the reception was very helpful and kind. She helped me with my heavy luggage to bring it to my floor since there isn’t a lift. Breakfast was okay. Basic food but very tasty Amsterdam waffles for desert!
Disliked: The only bad thing is the absence of lift.

Handy spot, neat and tidy...

Liked: Room was comfortable, hotel was easy walking distance (20 minutes) from central station and other attractions. I had a quiet room at the back of the hotel - a view would have been nice but perhaps also noisier towards the front.
Disliked: Expensive for what it was but seems common in central Amsterdam. Breakfast was a bit uninspiring although adequate.
