Great location in the old...

Liked: Love the location and we'd consider returning. Close to the market, shops, cafes and bars in the old part of town and within easy reach of the train station just a short walk away.
Disliked: The room felt just a little basic and that may be just down to the slightly old fashioned styling of the bathroom and toilet facilities.

Liked: The location was pretty convenient, just across from one of the old gates of the city. The staff was absolutely the best, very friendly and helpful I had been on an overnight bus from Milan and arrived by 9am and they had a room ready, so I could have an early check in. That was great because the overnight bus wasn't the best sleep, and so I promptly too a nap for a few more hours and felt much better. Also, they tolerated my rusty French that I was slowly pulling out of my brain again after speaking in Italian for two weeks before that.
Disliked: The wifi signal spotty for my room down at the end of hall, so maybe just boost that signal a bit.

Liked: I would totally recommend Hotel des Arts - it's very conveniently located in the centre of the town, close to the main train station (Saint-Roch) and all the tram lines. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the buffet breakfast is delicious and has a good variety without going OTT. I'd particularly recommend the hotel for those with young children - I liked the family room we had - it was a good size, with curtains between the parents' area and the kids' area. The staff were very welcoming and friendly with the kids, and there was a good selection of picture books and toys available in reception.
Disliked: The only thing I would suggest would be a high chair for breakfast time

Liked: The staff was wonderful and very helpful! They went out of their way to help me multiple times and I felt safe at the hotel.
Disliked: Price was a bit high and the breakfast disappointing. Bed could have been more comfy.
