Liked: Loved this cute and cozy hotel with such a brilliant location!! It was great value compared to a lot of hotels I looked at and was a much better location. Loved the decor, definitely felt like we were on holidays. And the shower had excellent power.
Disliked: The only negative was some banging / maybe building a few mornings from about 8am. Not too early but we didn't arrive until 2am so it woke us up on the first day.

Great hotel excellent location

Liked: A really nice hotel in a great location. Walking distance to les marias and the Latin quarter. Also close to good transportation. It is slightly old but clean
Disliked: I would suggest asking for a room facing the side of the hotel and not the main street. Is wasn't noisy, but since I was jet lagged it did wake me up in the morning

Liked: This place was dreadful. Smelled of stale cigarette smoke. It’s poky, might staff were terrible. It is poky and uncomfortable. I checked out first thing the next day and found somewhere else.

Hugely enjoyable short stay at...

Liked: Hôtel de Nice is a gorgeous eccentric little hotel in a fantastic location. The decor exceeded my expectations and I loved every inch of the place. The room was more modern than I expected from photos (new floorboards instead of carpet) and had a beautiful view and gorgeously wild wallpaper (at least two different types, vivid colours and a metallic background, I loved it so much). We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time and the staff at reception (up a flight of stairs, with several tiny animal figurines standing guard on the desk, including a floral pink pig) immediately offered to stow our luggage in the meantime, without us having to ask. Every member of staff we interacted with was lovely and very helpful - despite my French being very limited. Other reviews have mentioned how great the location was but it still managed to exceed my expectations - metro stations were very easy to access, and Notre Dame is only a 5 minute walk (you can see it from the street the hotel is on, that's how close). The room was small but perfectly formed - a very good size for two people on a short stay. Hôtel de Nice was a true highlight and an absolute gem. Merci beaucoup Hôtel de Nice!
