Pleasant stay with very comfortable...

Liked: Uncluttered and generally clean.
Disliked: Chest of drawers in room was badly damaged and couldn’t be used.Bath tap/shower control was not working properly and leaking from the fitting.Although the room was generally very clean there were drinks splashes on some of the walls.The door locks were very fiddly and we were disturbed by late guests trying to work out how to get into their rooms.

Perfectly adequate for our one...

Liked: The location of the hotel right in the centre of Bordeaux' busy pedestrian centre was perfect for our stay. Although we opted out of it, breakfast looked very good and we probably would have taken it up had we stayed a further night.
Disliked: The rooms were very tired and did not match up to the photographs. The aging rooms also probably didn't help the standard of cleanliness particularly in the bathrooms. The grouting in the shower walls was black and one of the rooms had woodlice in the tray. A refresh is clearly needed as otherwise the room was pleasant and the bed mattresses clearly new and very comfortable. The other 'complaint' would be security. The hotel front doors and reception are open 24/7 but when we came back in the evening to get our room keys, there was no one in sight despite pressing the bell many times. We simply reached across the desk to pick up our room keys off the pegs. Anyone could have done so to enter the rooms at any point (especially as the hotel is on one of the busy shopping streets) and had we known we probably would have been a bit more careful with leaving anything in the rooms while we were out.
