Disliked: Apparently, smiles from the staff are at an extra cost. Otherwise, a lovely hotel, a quirky bar and a very nice location.

Excellent location for a city...

Liked: The hotel is well-located in the city centre close to the older part of the town, with excellent views over Lake Geneva and Lausanne itself.The room was comfortable, with a large bed, and a good sized balcony giving us a very pleasant view of the lake. The bathroom was well-appointed.The public areas of the hotel are all attractive and well-maintained. Breakfast is served in a spacious dining room looking out towards the lake, and the range of items available is excellent. There is a comfortable bar adjacent to the dining room which offers a comfortable place to relax after a busy day
Disliked: The pillows on the bed could have been better; in a hotel of this standard one expects something better than foam pillows.

Good Value, great location, good...

Liked: Comfortable spacious rooms (a little dated in style), good bar & restaurant. Probably best location for restaurants of any hotel in Lausanne.
Disliked: Same old issue...breakfast choice is very limited. Breakfast starts at 6.30 but the warm food doesn't show up until sometime after 7.00 which is really annoying if you eat early. If you only get a coffee and a croissant for 25CHF, that makes that aspect of the stay very disappointing and not good value.Parking on a Sunday is challenging as the underground garage is closed.
