Liked: Central nicely located my tiny room overlooked crowded bars pubs and brasseries's terraces getting out jovial mood.All was provided inside to relax and keeping up cool.
Disliked: One coffee dispenser at the reception would be welcome.

Liked: The location. Definitely 10 out of 10. The Croix Rousse neighbourhood is lovely and the hotel is right on the main high street, next to the main public transport facilities and surrounded by coffee shops, patisseries, pubs and bistros. Our room overlooked the main road but the windows were perfectly insulating. The hotel was also very quiet at night. Our room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. The staff very helpful and friendly. Overall, a good stay.
Disliked: The heat. No air-con. The fan provided helped but didn't stop the room from getting very hot at night. Couldn't open the window because of noise, although most bars close by midnight. Our room and bathroom were fairly small. The facilities are very basic, but after all, it's a 2star hotel.

Good hotel for the price

Liked: Friendly staff, very good location, close to everything and 1 min away from subway station, very easy to get to all tourist attractions from here.
Disliked: I would have liked to have a mini fridge in the room.

On the Hill

Liked: Close to bars and restaurants. Had a private bathroom. Private parking for 10 euro in a secure garage close by. Comfortable beds.Staff were friendly. Had a small refrigerator in the room. TV in the room.
Disliked: On arrival, the receptionist was not there, and ringing the bell did not work. After phoning the hotel, someone came to reception.The receprion area is cluttered with prams - it was not a welcoming environment. The decor is well past its prime - it needs major work. No cooling - kept window open and put up with noise from below.The shower design makes it difficult not to get water everywhere. A little overpriced, given the condition and facilities, but then it is in Lyon.
