Fair hotel in a good...

Liked: The room was very comfortable and location good. Breakfast was nice but fruit and yogurt selections could have been better. Pancakes and bread lovely.
Disliked: We had a strange incident on our last full day. We were resting in the room at about 4.30pm when there was a brief knock and one of the cleaners opened the door and came straight in, asking if we needed anything. We said no and she left. Then about 5 minutes later the same thing happened again with no pause between knocking and entering. This was a different person from 'Housekeeping' who asked if everything was OK. We said yes thank you and she left. It's not acceptable to enter a guest's room unless it's absolutely certain they are out.Also, there was an awful smell of sewage in the lobby (not in our room or elsewhere in the hotel). We suspected this was due to works going on outside and not the hotel's fault. I felt sorry for the Reception staff.

Disliked: View from room was terrible including noise from construction early morning. I also did not receive the required room I booked (twin beds). The hotel was unable to provide extra pillows (2), and tea/coffee was not replenished in the room.
