I will recommend this hotel...

Liked: The location was great. Walkable to so many interesting places and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. We spoke no Portuguese and the staff all spoke excellent English. The owner of the hotel takes a significant interest in the day to day working of the hotel. He gives a free walking tour of the area every day, with a wine toast at the end. Very generous.
Disliked: The hotel tries to anticipate your every need, so no complaints at all.

Liked: Beautiful luxe room with nice touches and amenities. Bar, restaurant, and lobby very nice. Location near many restaurants and sights. Surprisingly quiet, even though near a busy area. We did not hear any noise whatsoever. All staff were impeccably professional and gracious.
Disliked: No parking and the hotel is not on a vehicle accessible street so your taxi must let you out on one of the nearby streets and you walk with your luggage half a block away not a big deal at all for us and I’m sure if you call the hotel they can arrange help if you need it.

Beautiful hotel

Liked: Comfortable, pretty, friendly, great bathroom and bed. Breakfast not as good as it was a few years ago (less variety, charcuterie selection is poor, fresh OJ hard to find), but still pretty nice.

Liked: Great Location ! couldn’t have been better. The place is clean. The room is small but comfortable and well equipped ! The staff and service are super helpful and accommodative. They also took us on a short tour around the area which was really nice ! Breakfast was ok there are good options, but could use more variation. I was there during my birthday, would have been nice if a gesture was done or a message was put in occasions for guests.
