A short, confortable, stay in...

Liked: The Hotel Cortezo is a typical modern major city city-centre hotel (small rooms, but not as miniscule as in London). Good use was made of the space. The shower was excellent (no bath). The toilet had a very old-fasioned looking flush, though it was a Roca, along with all other toilets in Spain. It took the cistern an age to fill, which was a bit annoying. The location is excellent, with major attractions in easy walking distance.
Disliked: We were only there for a short space of time. Checked in a 2.00 pm, went for an expedition round Madrid, had dinner; left at 11.30 the next morning, so difficult to get too annoyed about everything.

Liked: In the heart of Madrid, just a couple of hundred metres from La Puerta del Sol.Very good breakfast, and valet parking.
