A decent accommodation for those...

Liked: I think it's important that it be clear that by far the principal reason to stay in this hotel is its proximity to the Florence hospital complex. In that respect, it completely satisfies that requirement: it may well be the closest hotel of all to the hospital, less than a five-minute walk. I found the staff to be very friendly and easy-going. I needed to progressively extend my stay because my relative's stay in the hospital became progressively longer, and the staff was very collaborative. They cleaned the room every day, which I could verify because I was in the room working often. They gave me a huge room, with four (!) beds, even though I was alone. The bathroom worked well. You can walk to the tram in five minutes. The tram takes you right into the center of town in about 15 minutes. There is parking at the hotel, although I didn't need it.
Disliked: This is a three-star hotel, so one can't expect miracles. It is definitely in real need of renovation. There is no breakfast available -- either free or paid. There are only a couple of coin-operated dispensers of coffee and some snacks. The WiFi was notoriously unreliable. The location has nothing other to recommend it than its proximity to the hospital. There are no good restaurants of any note in the immediate vicinity (although the pizzeria across the street was pretty good). No notable tourist attractions. In summary, it would be difficult to recommend the hotel for touristic reasons.

They need to update bedding...

Liked: Easy access to metro
Disliked: Lots of mosquitoes in the room. The staff left the window open all day after cleaning and we had to kill mosquitoes every night before we went to bed.

Nice Stay in Florence

Liked: Property is pretty much as described and is quite close to tram and bus stations. Staff was friendly and both the check-in and check-out processes were fast. The hotel also has an elevator, which is a big plus if you're travelling with baggage.
Disliked: The room walls were quite thin, so we could hear some stuff going on in the corridors and even other rooms during the night. Our room was clean but the hotel is old, so there's a persistent musty smell in some areas.

Liked: Not much at all.
Disliked: Beds are old and bedspread are too. Air didn't cool down the room and mosquitos would eat you if tge window was opened. Shower Engineer is fired. Oh and flat pillows like flat pitas. Not recommended
