Great place to stay for...

Liked: I picked Hotel Cornelisz for a one-night stay in Amsterdam based on its great location and the good value for money, and I wasn't disappointed. The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, which I wanted to visit, are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and the Vondelpark as well as numerous bars and restaurants are also closeby. If you're into shopping, you'll find everything your heart desires (albeit at lofty prices) in Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat.I arrived more than two hours before the check-in time just to drop off my luggage at the hotel, yet the receptionist was so kind as to upgrade me to a small double room that was already available, so I could check right in. All other staff were very friendly as well, the room was clean and just large enough for a single person (it would feel quite tiny for two) and the breakfast offered everything I was looking for.

Liked: Location was great and close to many attractions within walking distance.
Disliked: Room was smaller than expected and bed sagged slightly. Sound of running water was endless.
