Old fashioned hotel with wonderful...
Liked: Staff is very good. It's in the center of town, close to several restaurants. Has a wonderful libby with a fireplace.
Disliked: It's close to the train station so you hear train noises during the night.

Quick overnight stay
Liked: Very comfortable bed. Vouchers for breakfast were a benefit. Free parking, coffee 24/7.
Disliked: Facilities a bit dated but the accommodations are sufficient.

Nice place
Liked: The room was large and the bed was very comfortable
Disliked: It was crowded with protesters so the lobby sitting area was loud, crowded, and somewhat chaotic

Great location for a good...
Liked: The two receptionists that I met were both friendly and approachable. The location was perfect as I was staying in Vermont, but needed to get to/from Hanover easily. The bus network was very useful and made this experience much nicer. The local community at White River Junction was pleasant.The hotel has a more dated style, which works well in the foyer and hallways. My room had some wallpaper peeling in places and slightly stained ceilings, but personally I do not care for these when travelling cheap. The bed, room size, ease of access and facilities were all perfect. I would revisit!

Affordable but worn historic hotel.
Liked: I’ve always liked the Hotel Coolidge for its location and historical charm. The office staff were helpful and responsive.
Disliked: I was surprised by the old mattress with a foam topper, it was saggy. The pillows were compacted and needed replacing. Otherwise, the room met my needs. Suggest actual milk and cream with morning coffee. The elevator was not working, it was 2 flights with a heavy suitcase.

Comfortable stay at a fair...
Liked: Front desk staff member was very helpful and personable
Disliked: Buckets strewn across my 2nd floor hall and spaces to collect roof leaks, which I guess is the price for staying at a 150 year old structure. Breakfast voucher didn't buy much at the cafe next door.

Won't stay there again! Got...
Liked: The price and location were the only reasons I chose this hotel. But next time I will stay somewhere else even if it cost me more!
Disliked: Elevator didn't work and apparently has been inoperable for quite some time according to the staff. If it has been out of order for so long, why is it taking so long to repair it? I had to lug 2 bags, plus briefcase and garment bag up to the 3rd floor by stairs.Arrived a bit early as I had a funeral to attend at 4 p.m. Walked through the door and was not greeted with a "How may I help you?" but instead, was told, "CHECK IN IS NOT UNTIL 4 P.M.!" Really...is this how you greet and treat your guests who walk through the door!? I sat for about a half-hour in the lobby after explaining that I was in town for a funeral which began at 4 p.m. Desk clerk then finally relented and checked me into my room which gave me time to settle in, get ready for the services and then get to the service.
