Great little place

Liked: Toilet and shower smelt a little bit and balcony was dirty. But location was perfect for what I needed and room was tidy.

The staff were exceptional

Liked: Room given on check in hadn’t been cleaned, given another room then the amazing staff upgraded us to another room which was great but didn’t have any toilet roll and had a washer load of dirty washing

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: The bin in the bathroom had rubbish in it when we got there. There was the tiniest amount of toilet paper on the roll when we got there. There were no spare rolls in the room. Management was not able to supply as they were not there to tell. Our course at the PAH was 0730hrs to 1700 lhrs. So we had to use tissues. There appeared to be drug deals being carried out in the side foyer of the facility at night. I noticed police also attended the facility. I can only assume to attend to the unsavoury people hanging around the facility. On leaving for our course on Sunday morning there was a bent spoon sitting on top of the bin located at the side foyer which had white residue on it of which I can only assume was used for drugs. On returning from our course on Sunday afternoon we were greeted by people who were gathered around this bin and appeared to be under the influence of an illicit substance.

Nice clean hotel, easy access...

Liked: Location was good for my trip - nice size room, clean and well presented. Quality air-conditioning to keep the room temperature to a comfortable level. Undercover parking (although tight small sized carparks). Onsite restaurant is a bonus although I didn't get to use it as I didn't return home any night before 8pm.Hotel is close to restaurants, shops and transport.Nice to sit on the balcony in the extremely humid weather, watching the possums scurrying up and down the trees.
Disliked: Room has a microwave for cooking; however, only of use to heat microwave dinners - when there are no cooking utensils or pans/dishes. Fire evacuation late one evening (just as I jumped into the shower) - but no-one appearing to take on the role of fire warden downstairs? If they were - they didn't make themselves known to the people outside or in the carpark area (no communication from anyone).Traffic noise (particularly ambulance sirens) is quite loud - but to be expected being a couple of blocks away from the hospital (my room was facing the hospital).7-night stay - didn't come with a bed-linen change (which on my welcome letter was advised as an additional cost).... towels were changed on day 4 (noting I was travelling solo - but all towels - were replaced, even though only one set was used).

Good value for money

Liked: Close to a supermarket and a 15min drive to QSAC. Reception lady was friendly.
Disliked: Pool was freezing and not overly clean.
