Liked: Amazing view of the garden from my room; friendly staff; and good breakfast options each morning. Had an amazing birthday stay as a solo female traveller. It's not located in Bordeaux city centre so be prepared to travel at least 20 minutes on the bus - I didn't mind this though and was a part of the reason I opted for this hotel.

Liked: Lovely big bedrooms. We had a view of the private gardens with mature trees. The restaurant was spectacular
Disliked: It has lost some of its elegance because of the fire risk precautions - but still has some great features

Disliked: We thought we would be staying in the cheapest but our room was in a one-story apparently modern building across from the chateau. Perhaps it was originally the stables. Hotel had a restaurant but it was fully booked for a corporate event - apparently common. Closest restaurant was 3.5 km away - a long walk at the end of the day, but driving in central Bordeaux is a nightmare and parking nearly impossible. We eventually found a bakery and mini-mart so dinner was sandwiches made in our room.
