Perfect Stay in Lyon

Liked: We had an excellent stay at Hôtel Charlemagne by Happyculture. The location is fantastic, just a short 5 minute walk from Lyon Perrache Station where we arrived. There is a tram station located just outside the hotel too for travel around the city.The hotel is lovely inside. Clean, modern, and everything you'd want from a hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Shower was hot and powerful. Luggage room for storing bags if you have a late flight/travel plans.Would happily stay here again if we were to be in Lyon again.

It was not as cozy...

Liked: Kind staff, good location - close to the center, good breakfast.
Disliked: Low temperature in the room in March, not enough lightning.

Liked: Great place for stop over in Lyon. Close to Center and train Station. We will come back ON our next Trip to Cote d'Azur

Good budget travel option but...

Liked: if you are wanting to budget travel then its good value
Disliked: Room was dirty, floor needed mopping. Couple of homeless around the hotel. Should not be rated four star, it's three star. Wouldn't have booked it if I had known

Lyon in 24 hours

Liked: The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy. We were able to park our car only a few minutes walk away in secure parking. The breakfast was part of the package and it was great.
Disliked: During the day the area is busy and fun, but at night some of the locals were a little bit intimidating.

Liked: The hotel’s location is excellent. Cleanliness is satisfactory, and the staff is approachable and helpful, providing support without any issues when needed.
Disliked: Despite being a 4-star hotel, it definitely does not meet that standard. The rooms are outdated, and while the breakfast is not bad and fills you up, the variety is not up to 4-star standards. The quality of the rooms does not reflect a 4-star level. Breakfast and illumination in the rooms can be improved.
