Disliked: The checkin time is 3pm, I arrived there at 2:30 after a 5 hours flight, they told me my room will be ready on 4:30, I stored my luggage and went back at 4:30 and they told me my room was not ready and I had to wait 30 minutes. When I asked the reason the receptionist told me because they are busy. And she started ignoring me and referring me to others after I told her they won’t get good review. I’ve stayed in this hotel before but this time was very disappointing, also the towels in my room were clean but really old .

Liked: Location. Cleanliness. Staff. Nice modern rooms.
Disliked: The breakfast area is too small for the amount of guests, it should be moved somewhere - maybe to the restaurant area. Also, it was clear they were not coping - were running out of cups, cutlery, everything. Also, food selection and amount was not adequate even for the number of guests that were seated at the time. Breakfast needs to be organized better!Also, a letdown that there was no bar working on the rooftop terrace (the views are beautiful though). Maybe it is because of the ongoing renovation at the hotel.

Perfect location and vibe for...

Liked: Perfect location near the Zocalo across street from the Cathedral. Friendly and helpful staff. Bowls of chips and cookies in the lobby a nice touch. Entrance/exit on both sides of hotel. Basic but clean rooms. Good water pressure. Amazing buffet breakfast. Separate restaurant option. New tower almost completely open (stayed in older section with a balcony - a bit worn but still good). Glass floor in parts of the lobby with ruins below! Several excellent restaurants nearby.

Disliked: Staff - Poor English, poor reliability (we ordered taxi to the airport 1 day in advance - they forgot to order it to our time requested) No fridge in the room ( in case you need put some medicine f.e.)
