Good homey neighbourhood hotel

Liked: Room I stayed in was recently refreshed, comfortably appointed, bed was comfy. Staff friendly.It was very convenient for me as it's 3min away for visiting my family. For tourists reference, 25m walk from zoo/kudamm and a few different ubahn lines close by.
Disliked: The floor to ceiling flocked faux wood decor was a choice... But every room is different so you might not have that one!

Surpassed my expectations

Liked: Nice, spacious, well-furnished room with balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. Nice breakfast. Convenient location, although in a rather quiet and not very “happening” part of the city.
Disliked: Would have been nice to have an actual coffee maker in the room (like a little Nespresso machine)

Disliked: Staff was very rude. I had made a mistake in my booking but staff was not accomodating in any way. Stole my money and I got nothing. They would not help me in any way with my situation. Very disappointing. Have not had worse hotel experience for five years at least.

Liked: Good breakfast
Disliked: The personal looked tired and was not that service minded. The hotel is still using big keys, and not key cards. We are in 2024, and not in 1999.

Absolutely not worth its money

Liked: Quite neighbourhood
Disliked: The hotel building, elevator and our room looked very old, much older than I expected from the photos. The room was too small for 3 people. It was impossible to open the window and stay on the bed at the same time (the window frame was above the bed). No mini bar, no place to put valuable things, no air conditioning in the room that really needed that (air was very stuffy and we almost couldn’t breathe). We had to immediately book another hotel because simply couldn’t stay in this one.
